MIDDLE RASEN DUCK RACE PRIZE DRAW LIST 2023 What a 'Quacktastic' start to 2023 The New Year's Day duck race in Middle Rasen was the best yet, raising a total £1,876 with a record breaking 1,500 ducks entering the river for the race between the two bridges. Christine Keyworth's duck was the first past the Post in just over 10 minutes, which is the fastest ever recorded time. She received £100 donated by 'Appleyard Pressure washing Services', and very kindly asked that half of her winnings be given back to the Duck Race funds. The prizes were awarded following the race at the Nag's Head, Thanks to Nigel and Mandy, and a raffle was also very popular, the whole event was extremely well attended and duck sales were up by 400 on last year. ALL money raised will be given to local worthy causes, we are already committed to an annual £300 fee towards the maintenance and upkeep of the 3 defibrillators in the village, which members of the team check on a monthly basis.
